Summer School in Geriatric Psychiatry

This course will provide a forum for bringing together budding European geriatric psychiatrists with academic or institutional potential and favour networking for future co-operation across Europe.

The attendees will improve their knowledge in old age psychiatry and share experiences about mental health programs and organizations.

The course will feature workshops, group discussions, and state of the art lectures by European experts in the field of geriatric psychiatry. The participants will be encouraged to make their own contributions and present their papers/research.

Webinars

The EAGP has arranged high quality webinars covering all relevant aspects of geriatric psychiatry, including both mental health and dementia related topics. The aim of the webinar series is to provide clinicians with easy accessible and free lectures that address topics relevant to (primarily) clinicians, but also researchers and health care administrators.

The webinar will always start with a few words on EAGP activities prior to the lecture. Participants may ask questions to the lecture holder using the chat, and the webinar team will coordinate all questions (if possible) after the lecture.

Refresher Course

The European Refresher Course for Old Age Psychiatrists – run jointly by the EAGP and the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatrists, Royal College of Psychiatrists - is tailor-made to elevate your expertise and ignite your passion for this field.

Building on the success of the refresher courses the learning and networking event for consultant old age psychiatrists will include invited speakers from across the UK and Europe. The event will provide an engaging and stimulating programme to refresh and invigorate senior psychiatrists and their practice.
